Is Claude Motion a skill?
No. Anthropic's help page says an animation is an artifact made from the Motion template, and it doesn't mention installing anything. Claude Motion is in beta on Team and Enterprise plans only.
Skills are something else: folders of instructions, scripts and resources that Claude loads for a specialized task. They're available on Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans, and in Claude Code. See which plans include Claude Motion or three ways without a Team plan.

Claude Motion or Motion (motion.dev)?
The Motion AI Kit is a different product with a similar name: an official skill and MCP server from Motion, formerly Framer Motion, that help coding agents write web animations. It isn't part of Anthropic's Claude Motion. Best practices and docs search are free; Motion+ unlocks the rest.

How to install a skill in Claude Code
Each project's README gives its install command. You can also copy a skill's folder yourself.
- Run the install command from one of the cards below.
- Or copy a skill folder into
~/.claude/skills/(all your projects) or your project's.claude/skills/(that project only). Each folder holds aSKILL.mdfile. - Start Claude Code with
claude. Claude uses a skill when it's relevant, or you can type/skill-name; skills from a plugin run as/plugin-name:skill-name. - Read a skill before you install it. Skills can include scripts that run on your computer.

Claude Motion skill FAQ
Is there an official Claude Motion skill?
Not one that Anthropic describes. Its help page calls Claude Motion a template in the Artifacts tab on Team and Enterprise plans and doesn't mention a Motion skill to install. The skills on this page come from Remotion, HeyGen and independent creators.
Can I use these skills on Claude Pro?
Yes. Anthropic says skills are available on Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans, and in Claude Code. As of Oct 17, 2026, Claude Code is included in Pro and Max.
What is the Motion AI Kit?
