Way 1: Claude Code and Remotion, step by step

Remotion makes videos with React code and renders an MP4 on your computer. You need Node.js and a coding agent such as Claude Code; most coding agents require a paid subscription. As of Oct 15, 2026, Pro includes Claude Code.

Create a blank project: npx create-video --yes --blank my-video.
Enter the project folder: cd my-video.
Install the Remotion Agent Skills: npx remotion skills add.
Start the preview: npm run dev.
In a second terminal, run cd my-video, then claude, and prompt your video.

Render the MP4 with npx remotion render.

Ask Claude for an HTML and CSS animation in an artifact. Use your own text, shapes or data.
Play the animation in your browser.
On macOS, press Shift-Command-5 to open the screenshot toolbar and record the screen.
On Windows 11, use the Snipping Tool's record option.

This route gives you a screen recording with no audio.
